In the first quarter of 2021, the price of apartments in Prague and regional capitals grew by 5.3% on average to CZK 77,800 per sq. metre. The most significant price increase was recorded in České Budějovice, with an increase of 17.8% to CZK 55,700 per sq. metre. A major increase was also seen in Jihlava (of 11% to CZK 46,300 per sq. metre, and in Zlín (of 10.2% to CZK 46,900 per sq. metre). A mild decrease was recorded only in two regional capitals; prices fell by 0.4% in Pilsen (to CZK 52,000 per sq. metre) and in Pardubice (to CZK 49,800 per sq. metre). The most expensive apartments remain those in Prague with an average price of CZK 100,000 per sq. metre. In total, 7,164 apartments were sold in the Czech Republic in this period in the aggregate amount of CZK 34.3 billion.
