Prague development market in January and February 2019
In terms of the new offerings, January and February were well below the average, with the supply amounting to 65% of prior years’ average during those two months and to as little as 33% compared to the past year. 371 new apartments were put on the market for direct sale with an average surface area price parameter of CZK 103,827 per m2. This time, apartments that formed part of renovation projects accounted for a slightly above-average 35.8% of apartments and their average surface area price parameter was CZK 134,013 per m2. However, it seems that, in 2019, renovations may account for a market share in excess of 30% of the number of new apartments.
